Lane Closure on Aurora Tuesday

SEATTLE— Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 20, a Seattle Department of Transportation crew will perform tree maintenance on the west side of Aurora Avenue N between Thomas and John streets.  During the work, which will take place between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the far right curb lane on Aurora will be closed from Thomas to John streets.  Also, there will be no through-traffic allowed on Thomas between Sixth Avenue N and Aurora Avenue N.  Motorists driving east on Thomas Street to access southbound Aurora Avenue N will be detoured one block north to Harrison Street.  Local access will be allowed on Thomas Street.

The Seattle Department of Transportation builds, maintains and operates Seattle's $12 billion transportation infrastructure. To further Mayor Nickels’ goal to get Seattle moving, the department manages short- and long-term investments in streets, bridges, pavement and trees, that better connect the city with the region.
