We accept passport applications, including first time applications, renewals, and applications for expedited processing.

NOTICE: NSC Closure on Friday 12/12/08

Neighborhood Service Centers will be closed on Friday, December 12th for a staff meeting.

Locations with Saturday service hours will be open for business during regular hours on December 13th.

All locations will be open for business on Monday, December 15 2008.

Passport Requirements:

  1. State Certified Birth Certificate or previous U.S. Passport or original Certificate of Naturalization must be submitted with a completed application (pdf). These documents will be returned with the new passport.

    Hospital Certificates are not acceptable and are not considered proof of citizenship. Children under 14, renewing a passport, must submit a State Certified Birth Certificate along with the U.S. Passport.
     
  2. Two identical current passport photos (2" x 2" with white background)
     
  3. Valid Drivers License
     
  4. Check or Money Order only to U.S. Department of State for each application
    Adults - (16 and older)  $75.00 each  (Passport valid for 10 years)
    Minors - (15 and younger)  $60.00 each  (Passport valid for 5 years)
     
  5. Cash or separate Check or Money Order to City of Seattle for each application. This fee is $25.00 for each adult and $25.00 for each minor.

    We do not accept credit or debit cards as form of payment.
    All applicants, regardless of age, must appear in person.

    Children under age 14 - both parents' signatures are required. If a statement of consent form is being used, it must be notarized.

Passports are now taking 4 weeks for regular service & 2-3 weeks for EXPEDITED service
