- Action Summary
Posted after Monday’s full Council meeting, providing information on actions taken by the Council, including votes and other actions.
- City Council Resolutions
Resolutions are City legislation of an advisory nature, which state policy, or which take certain actions without the force of law. The Resolution index contains the full text of all legislation introduced since January 1996.
- Clerk/ Comptroller Files
Clerk and Comptroller Files are official filings of the City which include such items as land use case files before the City Council, appointment files, election campaign reporting files, agency rules, and reports. Selected recent documents contain full text in electronic form.
- Council Bills/ Ordinances
Ordinances are City legislation which have the force of law. They are called Council Bills before they are enacted, and become Ordinances if passed by the City Council and approved. The Council Bills and Ordinances index contains the full text of all legislation introduced since January 1996.
- Council Votes
Includes a brief summary and the final vote on selected legislation before the Seattle City Council. Items selected include those which have generated significant media and/or public interest, those for which the full Council vote was not unanimous, and all votes on confirmation of the Mayor's appointment of city department heads and Municipal Court judges.
- Council Work Program
The Council’s 2009 Work Program includes significant issues and projects the Council expects to review and act upon during 2009. Issues or projects that require significant monitoring by the Council also are listed.
- Legislative Databases
These databases are maintained by the City Clerk. They contain the full text of all legislation introduced to the City Council since 1996 and an index of all legislation introduced to the City Council since 1869.
- New Legislation for Introduction and Referral
Provides current updates on legislation introduced to the Council, and provides information on the committee to which the legislation was referred.
- Public Records Disclosure
Serves as a resource for those interested in requesting city documents.

Provides a two-week window into the Council calendar, listing all meetings that have been scheduled.
- Video archives of all Council & Committee Meetings
Organized by committee and date, this index provides a quick and easy way to find a past meeting and view it online.
- Weekly Council Preview
Provides a brief glance at major Council meetings and issues coming up for the week. New versions are posted each Friday by noon.
